Tell me about what you're creating, what you're trying to communicate, and the kind of feel you're looking for. We can use my existing music as a starting point, or you can send me your video, rough cut or other references to help me understand what you need.
This service sits between licensing an existing track and commissioning a full score. I'll create a standalone piece of music for your project, drawing on the styles and sounds you hear in my existing work. It's a good option when you want something unique without needing music composed and timed throughout your production.
How it works
Tell me a little about your project, the kind of music you're looking for, the feel you have in mind, the story you're trying to tell, your vision for the project and roughly how long you need the music to be.
If there's a particular track of mine that's close to what you have in mind, send me a link. You can also send me other musical references if they help explain the kind of mood you're looking for.
Once I have an idea of what you need, I'll let you know if I think I'm a good fit and give you a clear quote before any work begins. We'll agree on the brief, what I'll deliver and the price before I start creating your music.
What you'll receive
Your finished music will be professionally mixed and supplied as a 16-bit WAV file, ready to use in your production. (MP3 or 24 bit files can also be supplied if you need them, and stems are available on request.)
Where appropriate, I'll also include a music bed version without the main lead instrument, giving you a little more flexibility when working around dialogue or voice-over.
Two rounds of revisions are included, giving us an opportunity to make adjustments to the music and mix while keeping the project within the brief we've agreed on. Each round can include several changes requested together. Major changes in direction may require an additional quote.
Pricing
Original music for your project starts from US$350.
Every project is different, so I'll give you a clear quote before any work begins. The final price will depend on things such as the length and complexity of the music and what your project requires.
Straightforward licensing
The standard price includes a non-exclusive commercial licence for your project. I retain ownership of the music, which helps me keep the initial cost of having som
ething created specifically for you more affordable.
Need exclusive use? Exclusive licensing is also available at an additional cost.

For projects that need a higher level of involvement, I can also compose music specifically to picture, working with the timing, scenes and emotional changes of your production.
