What
is stock music?
Stock
Music goes by several different names, it’s know at Production
Music, Royalty free Music and sometimes Library Music.
Stock music is music that is pre-recorded and kept “in stock”.
It’s used for TV, radio, films, advertising, videos, presentations
etc. Lets say you wanted to have some music in the
background of a TV advert, instead of going to the time and hassle of
hiring someone to create the music for you, you could go and listen
through some pre-recorded music in a stock music library with the
style of music you had in mind to fit your content.
When you’ve
chosen the music you want, you pay a license fee to allow you to
legally use and broadcast the music that you’ve synchronized to
your video. For more info check
out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Production_music
What
is "Royalty Free Music?"
Music
is called royalty-free when a customer only has to pay ONE license
fee, they get to use the music anywhere, they keep the license
forever and they can re-use it in multiple projects at no extra cost.
So they are free of paying more fees (royalties) making the music
“royalty-free”
It
does NOT mean that the artists have given away their music
copyrights.
And
it does NOT mean that the customer shouldn’t fill out cue
sheets when required or that songwriters won’t get paid
performance royalties down the line by their Performance Rights
Organization.
Who
owns the copyright to the music?
The
composer of the music.
Do
you belong to a PRO?
Yes.
My Preforming Rights Association is APRA
What
is a cue sheet?
A cue sheet is a record of all the songs and compositions used in a film and television production.
Cue
sheets are usually prepared by producers or end-users (clients,
owners) of a produced film, video, TV show, etc. Then the cue sheets
are provided to a broadcaster, so that the broadcaster can report the
use of the music to a performing rights organization ("PRO")
every time a project is broadcast. It costs producers / users
nothing.
PROs
do not use cue sheets for social media or digital-only use. Cue
sheets are not necessary for these types of projects

cue sheets and more information click here
Do I Have To Tell You Where I Use Your Music?
No. But if you want to share a link I'd love to know.

mistakes.
Solving
the issue is simple, forward a copy of your license and your purchase
confirmation email to YouTube.
